True Feminism

               

When our madam discussed about 'Feminism and India' in the lecture and told that,'Movies of 80s and 90s were hardly influenced by comminsm and socialist mentality.like,hero always belonged to poor background who also had pride for his poverty fall in love with girl belonged to elite class,most of heros possessed occupation of coolie and garage-worker!!!And current time,Most of all the movies were influenced the idea about feminism.Like,Heroine who always wear short(yes, it's show their liberty,because here liberty decided by size of clothes) have the born-right to talk boldly,can drink cigarate and even she had so called 'legal affairs'!!!this scenerio struck my mind that is it the true meaning of feminsm?
                 As a student of political science,the simple definition of feminism is that women should have the right and opportunities as man.we have to believe that women were always discriminated on the basis of gender and alwyas consider as a servent of the man.We belonged to that country which elected the women as a prime minister for fifteen year and since many women were raped,murder and threatened for only because she is being women.This recent condition not only prevent in villages but also in city area.No doubt,We gave them the political right like right to vote,right to stand in election by Constitution but we can not deliver them the basic social and economic rights.
                    As there are no any importance of political rights for one who hungry and lived in pavement,same condition exists with women in that sense.we can not give them equal social and economic rights.After the 60 years of independence ,the women's contribution in India's GDP is below 30%.,and the represention of women in recent elected Parliament is only 62.India is currently ranked lowly 141 among 193 countries in giving representation to women and thus has a long way to go.in recent scenirio,there is drastic different in the ratio of girl child and boy child in primary school.sexual harassment at work place is also another example of negotiation of the basic need of treat as being human.   
                   There is no doubt in women's strength.PV sindhu and shakshi malik were only two women who broght the medal from the last olympic.Hima das'golden girl' and 'dhing express' is current example of women strength.kumud shrivas,the president of intel group of india and chanda kochar were show the strength of management power of women.nirmala sitharaman,mayavati and jaylalitha are example of leadership taken by women.in recent ISRO mission #Chandrayan2 ,muthaiya vanitha and ritu karithale are two names who played important role behind the stage.
                     This empowerment and the 'true sense of feminism' only be possible by give them equal social,political and economic rights and treat as same.in Indian tradiotion said that 'yatr naryastu pujyante tatra ramnte devataha'-worship the women is long way to go but treat them equally and give them chance to live life respectfully and with dignity is need of recent times!!
